We are pleased to invite you to the 20th IAHR International Symposium on Ice in Lahti, Finland, June 14 to 18, 2010.
Lahti is a small town (100,000 inhabitants) in the southern side of the Finnish Lake District, best known as one of the winter sport centres in Europe. Lahti city home pages The symposium starts one week before the summer solstice and the participants can enjoy the northern white summer nights.
The symposium, hosted by the University of Helsinki, will be held at the Congress & Concert Centre Sibelius Hall in Lahti (Ankkurikatu 7). The location of Lahti is 100 km north of Helsinki, and there are excellent train and bus connections to Lahti from Helsinki centre and airport.
